Among the rubble, the children
are watching a movie
projected onto a dirty white sheet.
They try to forget the violence
of their world
as animated lions
chase each other in front of them.
"Maybe one day,
I can see a lion,"
one of them says,
hopefully.
No one reacts to these words.
When one is forced to take it
one day at a time,
there's no future.
